Quotes; Samurai Warriors 2: Empires Events
These events are short scenes that can be unlocked by having the right officers in your
army, by facing certain opponents, and/or when certain conditions are achieved. They provide
a good glimpse into the personalities of many of the characters in the Samurai Warriors series
and showcase the relationships present. Mitsunari has seven to unlock, but he features in the events
of others as well.
Ingratitude (Mitsunari Event)
IEYASU: Lord Mitsunari, you have dropped your staff. Here I will pick it up for you.
MITSUNARI: Idiot. I dropped it because I have no need for it.
IEYASU: Hmph! And I see you have no need for common courtesy either.
The Fox of Mt. Sawa (Mitsunari Event)
YUKIMURA: My Lord Mitsunari, you are truly pure of heart.
MITSUNARI: Pure? Me? Don't be ridiculous. People call me the fox, you know. I may not be all I appear
to be.
YUKIMURA: No, it's plain for all to see.
Unwelcome Advice (Mitsunari Event)
MITSUHIDE: Ah, Mitsunari, regarding that matter we discussed earlier... I think you'll find that if you
make the following adjustments...
MITSUNARI: Spare me your grandmotherly advice. The day I need your help is the day I am cold in the
ground.
MITSUHIDE: Very well. I just hope your impetuousness will not prove costly.
Greater than Mitsunari (Mitsunari Event)
MITSUNARI: It is often said that there are two things greater than Mitsunari himself: his castle as Mt. Sawa,
and Sakon Shima. How true this is; Sakon, you were magnificent. You know that I will continue to rely on
you.
Comrades (Sakon Event)
MITSUNARI: Become my ally, Sakon, and I will grant you all the riches and land you desire.
SAKON: Keep it for yourself. I'm here for reasons greater than mere gold.
The Musician (Sakon Event)
SAKON: Are you gonna stay inside and work all day again? What's wrong? Are you sick or something?
MITSUNARI: If you're concerned about my health, you should stop that awful racket.
SAKON: I was just playing a little music for you on the biwa. Didn't you like it?
MITSUNARI: I feel sorry for the poor instrument.
SAKON: There we go. I knew I could make you laugh.
Honor Cannot Lose (Kanetsugu Event)
MITSUNARI: Kanetsugu... I never expected to meet you on the battlefield...
KANETSUGU: This is a happy day! Whichever of us wins, it will be a glorious triumph for honor!
MITSUNARI: In that case, I know you'll expect nothing less than my utmost.
KANETSUGU: Indeed. It would pain my heart to see you let me win.
The Value of Allies (Ginchiyo Event)
GINCHIYO: Mitsunari, you look lonely and bitter as usual. Maybe there would be more room for friends in
your heart if you weren't so in love with yourself. Just a thought.
MITSUNARI: Oh please, tell me more.
GINCHIYO: You need to learn to respect those around you. Surrounding yourself with enemies will do you
no good in the end.
MITSUNARI: Oh, and you're just overflowing with good will and friendship, are you? Is that why you should
talk?
